At the end of the year you just pull up your spreadsheet and it will have all the information you will need for you tax preparation.
Now, in case you are not comfortable using your computer to balance your books, then you will have to keep your records on paper. Just keep a simplified records of your transactions. A three column worksheet will do. You can easily find this type of worksheet in the office supply stores.All you will need is one column for all your expenses and another column for money you have received as prfofit or income. When you can have a column for a running balance. It is farely simple and easy to learn. Don’t need anything fancy. Just keep it simple.
